Rabbi's praise for school's magnificent 7

CIVIC VISIT: Josh Green, Louie Fisher, Rabbi Eli Pink and Sam Levi meet Cllr Ronnie Feldman at Leeds Civic Hall
SEVEN teenage boys from Leeds Grammar School began the holiday period by volunteering in the Jewish community for a week as part of an innovative project.
The Dare2Care programme was the brainchild of Rabbi Reuven Cohen of Lubavitch Youth and has ended successfully.
Facilitated by Rabbi Eli Pink and assisted by Eliyohu Cohen, participants George Ableson, Ollie Abrahamson, Louie Fisher, Joshua Green, Max Johnson, Sam Levi and Johnny Saffer volunteered at Lily Thompson House and Donisthorpe Hall.
And the 'magnificent seven' also found time to meet community leaders Howard Forman (UJIA), Councillor Ronnie Feldman, Emma Cohen (CST), Dayan Yehuda Refson (Leeds Beth Din) and Edward Ziff (LJWB).
"All gave time to discuss their roles in the community with the boys and inspire them in future communal work," said Rabbi Pink.
Time was also set aside for fun activities such as go-karting, laser shooting and bowling.
"The boys wrapped up each day with downtime and talked over experiences from the days work. Everyone was amazed by how fast the week flew by", said Rabbi Pink.
