Hospital and Prison Visits

If you or a loved one are in Hospital or Prison, the Jewish community is here to help!

The hospital may not ask you for your religion when you are admitted, so you may need to advocate for yourself for a visit from the Jewish Chaplain or for kosher meals.

The Chaplains for the Leeds Teaching Hospitals are Rabbi Alby Chait MBE who can be contacted on 07704 484074 or via www.facebook.com/albert.chait and Rabbi Jason Kleiman who can be contacted on 07989 351503 or at [email protected]

If you or a loved one is in a different hospital, please contact us via our contact form.

Every prisoner should have an induction visit from the Prison Chaplaincy Team when they will be asked their religion.

The Chaplain for HMP Leeds, HMP Full Sutton and HMPYOI Wetherby is Rabbi Eli Pink who can be contacted on 07875 320344 or at [email protected].

The Chaplain for HMP Wealstun is Rabbi Perez who can be contacted on 07970 855198 or at [email protected].

If your loved one is in a different prison, please contact Rabbi Eli Pink on the details above.
