FAQs
Q: What hours does camp run?
A: Camp runs from 9.00am-3.30pm, Monday - Friday. Activities start at 9.30am. We offer early drop off from 8.30am and late pick up is available till 4pm. Please be in touch if you require a later pick up.
Q: Can I send my child for only part of the week?
A: Our experience and that of the CGI camps worldwide, shows the benefit of children attending the full week of camp and we are encouraging child(ren) to booked in for the full week(s). It avoids disruption and social anxiety of children having to fit into established groups, learn camp songs and schedules that the other children already know or miss out on the continuity of games and activities. The weekly program builds up with additional activities each day, following the theme of the week. For special arrangements, please contact us.
Q: Do I need to send food or drink with my child?
A: Nope! We are providing hot lunch, snacks and drink for the children at no extra charge. If you want to send your child with a water bottle, please label it.
Q: Will the children be going on any trips?
A: Yes! Main Camp (ages 6+) will be going on trips, with all of Main Camp going on one big trip each week and the older children (ages 8-9) going on additional trips during the week. Kiddie Camp will have entertainers coming into camp every day and a great, fun schedule planned.
Q: My children are getting older. Will they still enjoy camp?
A: Yes! There are different schedules for each age group and they will feel that they are getting a new experience. We've got a great schedule planned for camp with extra activities for the older children including professional sports classes, baking classes and extra trips.
Q. Can my three year old come to camp?
A. Yes! We've got a great program onsite for nursery and reception children, with entertainers and lots of fun every day! Unfortunately we don't have the staff to support children in nappies, so your three year old will need to be toilet trained.
Q: Do you offer any sibling or other discounts?
A: We offer a 10% discount for a second or any subsequent child. In addition, it is the policy of Chabad Lubavitch that no child is refused admission for financial reasons. Please feel free to discuss this in confidence with anyone from Chabad Lubavitch so we can make camp work for you and your child(ren).
Q: What safety precautions will you be taking in camp and on trips?
A: We will be working with CST, Chabad Lubavitch Security Commission and Chabad Lubavitch Safeguarding Advisor to ensure an all around safe environment for the children. We have a video access control at the gates and CCTV. All staff will have background checks. We will have ample staff on trips and use a buddy system.
Q: My child has additional needs, can they come to camp?
A: Yes! Please be in touch with Rabbi Sholem on 07438769655 to discuss how we can make it work for your child.
