A Menorah at GSAL
Thank you for all your support. The surplus funds are going to be used for further Jewish activities in the Grammar School at Leeds.
Aim: To buy a 9 foot menorah to be erected and lit in the Theatre Foyer of the Grammar School at Leeds during Chanukah.
Cost: £1500 including shipping and Chanukah events, distribution of doughnuts and Chanukah guides.

More details: In keeping with the long tradition of the Grammar School at Leeds supporting faith assemblies, Jewish discussion groups, the GSAL Shabbat and more, we would like to enable Jewish students to feel proud of their Jewish heritage during the holiday period with the purchase of a nine foot menorah for GSAL that will be displayed in the Theatre Foyer.
We have sourced an appropriate menorah which is nine foot tall and has the facility to be lit both electronically and in the traditional way with a flame. The menorah also has an informational LCD sign.
We will be inviting pupils, parents, alumni and the wider community to join in the Chanukah celebrations and menorah lighting.
