The Jewish Women's Circle of Leeds runs activities for women who are unable to attend other activity groups due to their religious or cultural observances.
Our activities provide a way for women to learn about important areas for their personal and family growth, or simply to relax in a safe and comfortable environment.
Our sessions cover areas such as:
- Healthy cooking and healthy eating
- Balancing work and life
- The roles of women within ethnic minority cultures
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Ladies' nights, including paint nights and craft nights
Whenever possible, we use local women as presenters at our events, particularly showcasing women who are starting to forge their own paths.
Our activities are subsidised, and no one is turned away for lack of funds.
Although our activities are geared towards a particular group, the content is not religious and is appropriate for all women from across the community.
