Help Us Replace the
Leeds Mitzvah Tank

After years of bringing Jewish life to Leeds and Yorkshire, our beloved Mitzvah Tank has reached the end of the road.

For the last few years, the Leeds Mitzvah Tank has travelled hundreds of miles, bringing Jewish life directly to people wherever they are.

It has brought Chanukah light to public spaces, visited schools and care homes, stopped for tefillin on the street, distributed mezuzahs and Shabbos candles, and helped create proud Jewish visibility across Yorkshire.

For some people, it was their first interaction with Judaism. For others, it was a reminder that Judaism comes to them too.

But after years on the road, the current tank was becoming increasingly unreliable and expensive to repair. Recently, after another major breakdown, it had to be towed away.

We now need to replace it with a newer Mitzvah Tank so this work can continue.

This is more than a vehicle

It is a moving Jewish centre. A visible sign of Jewish life.
A loud statement that Judaism is alive and well on the streets of Leeds.
