The Friendship Circle was established in 2010 to serve a growing segment of our community. The Friendship Circle extends a helping hand to families who have children with special needs, providing much-needed respite to parents through weekly Friends-at-Home visits. There are no costs at all for the families.
Although many children with special needs have carers and assistants, our teenage volunteers provide much-needed friendship to the children.
Are you aware of a family who could use extra help in their home with a child who has special needs? Or an elderly, lonely or vulnerable adult? Please take a moment to help. If you would be willing to pass details of the programme along to anyone you feel would benefit, that would be much appreciated.
