Chabad Lubavitch Leeds Coronavirus Update

Chabad Lubavitch Leeds is putting together a response to the coronavirus.

  • We will be guided in all our activities and responses by the guidance of UK Government. Our shul services have been suspended but shiurim and classes have moved online.
  • We would like to encourage people to reach out to us or any clergy if they feel the need for spiritual guidance or reassurance.
  • As you wash your hands regularly, bear in mind that we are all in the hands of the One Above. For more encouragement please read this article.
  • Other online resources for now, or in the case of quarantine are www.Jewish.tv, www.TorahCafe.com and for children www.JudaismLive.com/KIDS
  • Please think about who you know is elderly or vulnerable. If you have a spare smartphone or tablet consider lending it to them and showing them how to video call and make online orders in the case of the upcoming quarantine for over 70s and the vulnerable.

Some measures we are putting in place:

  • A service to arrange someone to say kaddish for those who can't get to shul to say it. Click here.
  • Sell your chametz online. Click here.
  • Free mezuzah checking and one free mezuzah. Click here.
  • Extra places at Hebrew's Cool Club for parents who need extra childcare after school. Click here.
  • We are collecting names of elderly and vulnerable and volunteers to buddy with them in the case of the upcoming quarantine. At this stage we are just in the planning stages, but if you will need help, or can volunteer, please click here.
  • A closed whatsapp group with daily videos/uplifting messages posted by the admin. To be added to the group add +447875320344 to your contacts and send us a whatsapp.
  • We will be expanding our Maot Chitim Pesach Fund to help those who are experiencing extra financial hardships due to coronavirus. Click here.
  • We are looking at developing a Pesach Seder in a Box. You can order one here.

May G‑d grant our world complete healing very soon — with the coming of Moshiach NOW!
